I am new to this forum and thank you Andrea for accepting my request to join. I do own a website service but that isn't the topic of this post. Everyone should be very careful when submitting their info on the net, especially when submitting to unknown websites. Look at their Privacy Policy, read their Terms of Use Agreement, and cross your fingers.

The reason I say "cross the pinkies" is because there is no federal legislation in the United States that provides recourse to netizens who submit info to the unscrupulous. This isn't the case in Canada and the European Community. In Canada we have a Privacy Commissioner that provides recourse for those people who's personal info has been put to mal-use. Here is the link. http://privcom.gc.ca/information/guide_e.asp

This is excellent advice. Identity theft is the fastest-growing crime in North America.
