After the treatment I was given ointment to apply to the area. For the first couple of days my penis was very sensitive and hurt a little. But now it's fine. The hairs are growing slowly and appear to be a bit lighter. But it's only been a week so I can't say much. I haven't noticed any shedding yet.

I've got a question : is it alright to shave between treatments? I'm getting my entire full legs treated with the Lumenis One (uses IPL), and have had only one treatment so far - 4 weeks ago. But after my first treatment, the hairs on my legs grew out to the point where I needed to shave them. But it's been 8 days since I last shaved and the hairs on my leg hasn't grown. Is it in the latent phase right now? Or it's possible one treatment really did zap it all away?

Don't they shave your leg anyway prior to your laser treatment? I would think it would be fine, but better call the business and ask them what their protocol is.

Hello tyler.
I have been to bangkok in the past many times and love that place. Will move there permanently as soon as I get my body hair under control AND start working on the scarring I received from improper electrolysis treatments I had received in the past.

There is a person whom I found on hairtell.com who just opened up an office in Bangkok Near Udomsuk BTS. If you want to get in touch with her, her moniker on hairtell.com is is Tatiana22, send her a pm for the address. She sounds enthusiastic about the work she does although I have neither met her nor received treatments from her. And I don't know which areas she is willing to treat.

Also, I had my penis cleared recently with electrolysis and contrary to belief it doesn't hurt at all nor would you need an anesthetic beforehand. At least I didn't require anything. I wouldn't risk laser stimulating unwanted hair on the penis shaft and would opt out for electrolysis instead if possible. By a real pro of course.

I am a electrologist and a laser expert for many years doing exactly what you are looking for in Florida sorry I am near. But, a 1064 Yag, if you are Oriental is not a bad idea. The hairs you are seeking to kill are usually deep follicles and the area you are seeking is usually darker skin. So a Yag is not a bad idea and the price is truly low. That type of laser you can get aggressive without a problem killing the hair. I suggest numbing the area first.

Thank you for paying forward, Karen! We don't not have any laser specialists giving time here to answer questions. I'm sure consumers appreciate your input.

Thank you for this. Seeing as my treatment is going well so far I will look into her for treating certain small areas (nipples) as well as for spot treatments at the end of my laser course if I find rouge hairs.

Thank you Karen. Yes, I am oriental and skin in these areas are a bit darker than the rest of my body.

And so far the ND-yag has been good to my skin. I have not noticed any burning or any adverse effects. A week after my first treatment everything is back to normal health. And I am very amazed at how much hair has been reduced from my penis shaft. I am 3 weeks post treatment and almost all the hair on my penis shaft has stopped growing. Is it possible the laser effectively killed 80% of the hair follicles on my penis in one treatment? Or are the hairs simply just taking their time to grow?

Because I treated my full legs with the Lumenia One (an IPL, and only one treatment so far) and at first the hairs were growing very slowly. I shaved and it took 8 days to even grow out a littlet. I shaved again after a couple weeks and this time the hairs grew out in 5-6 days. So I'm worried that the hairs will start growing faster and faster again back to the normal speed it grew at before my first treatment. And I'm worried my penis shaft hair will also grow faster soon and come back. I know I've only had one treatment on every area but this just worries me.

The hairs on my perianal area and anal area has grown thinner but about the same density. Same as for my legs. The only area that hasn't had much hair growth at all is my penis shaft.

Next Monday I will go treat my private areas for the second time and begin treating my belly button, arms, fingers, and a bit on my cheekbones with the yag.

Next Wednesday I will go for the second treatment for my full legs, face and neck using the Lumenis One.
