Dear All, I have had excellent results with electrolysis in all areas but it is painful and time consuming, requiring no shaving in between. I can not commit that at the moment and feel laser would be an alternative option. I had horrible induction on my face and am very worried by this, however I have been told that the lower leg is generally safe and any areas where all the hair is terminal, such as peri-anal/pubic you should not make the haur problem worse?

Does anyone have experience with this, and have achieved a good result?

Thanks in advance.

I had one treatment of my lower legs more than 7 months ago and then couldn't continue for financial reasons. My skin is really pale and my lower leg hair is dark and coarse. For about 4-6 weeks my lower legs were absolutely smooth and then they had some hairs that were easy to shave. Then the new coarse hairs started appearing and I had to shave more often again and had stubble. However, the stubble was less than that on my upper legs and I also had to shave my lower legs less frequently than my upper legs which was the complete opposite of what it used to be. A month ago, I noticed that I suddenly have very few hairs on my lower legs and they were almost completely smooth even without shaving in complete contrast to my upper legs. So apparently it was the same cycle of hairs that got lasered! I was so thrilled that I booked an appointment for my whole legs now. It will be at a different place and hopefully they will use high enough settings. I know they use gentlemax which is a plus. My legs so far have responded much better than my underarms and bikini because my bikini and underarm hair is a mix of dark and blonde and light brown hairs. The results are still worth it though.
What type of hair do you have on your lower legs? Is it dark and coarse? Is your skin pale?
