I recently viewed a posting of someone asking if permanent hair removal of the legs was the best idea. My question is how did the results come out for those who actually did have leg hair removal by way of electrolysis--not laser?

Some might say that either way could work, which is probably true, but I want to know how it worked specifically for electrolysis. In addition, how long it took YOU to get permanent results---for those who actually had it done.

Legs are actually easier than the face to clear using electrolysis, as there are fewer hairs, and the growth phases are not so many as the face.

I have cleared lots of legs in my day.

I do hope some consumers come forth and share their views with you. Until then, I can tell you that I personally had electrolysis done on my legs many years ago when the process was slower and more painful. It worked, but I would have much rather have had that skilled electrologist that worked on me using an Apilus Platinum or one of the many fine professional epilators available today, with the better probes available today. Skin reaction would have been less and comfort would have been so much better.

I have cleared many legs as well. James is correct that it is easier than facial work. It does take several hours to just clear one leg, depending on the amount of hair one has, but it works on all structures and color of hair on all skin colors. You will lay on the table longer initially, but there is less hair per square centimeter on most people, so it is easier to move along. Where there may be 800 follicles per square centimeter on the face, there will be about 70 hair follicles per sqaure centimeter on the legs.

It's worth looking into if you live near an electrologist that can move along. Speed and deadliness is possible with electrolysis in the 21st century.

If my clients ask about removing their leg hair with electrolysis, my answer is always, OF COURSE it can be accomplished, BUT if they are good candidates for laser hair reduction, then I will broach the subject of getting a laser consult with one of the practitioners that uses a GentleLase laser. They decide and I'm indifferent as to what they want to do.

Dee, James

I'm planning to start electrolysis on my legs on February 2018 and as you said, I think is easier comparing to face. I've been working on my facial peach fuzz and it's more time consuming.

I live in Switzerland and I have o fo to Stuttgart to receive the treatment. I was planning a marathon session to complete the first clearance in one day, then the second 4th weeks after and the third in 12 weeks? Do you think is ok what I'm Planning

A single day is not enough to complete the first clearing on the legs.

If it is lower legs, you will need at least 2 days. About 12/14 hours (minimum). For complete legs, you will need at least 5 days. Around 30/35 hours

I agree, you cannot complete the first clearance in a whole day.
