Hi everyone I'm new here and would really appreciate some advise. About ten years ago I had laser on my bikini line and underarms. It worked great for my bikini line but no results in my underarms.

I started electrolysis somewhat recently on my underarms and 3 1/2 years later (with very regular treatments) they are still super hairy. That electrologist claimed about 40% of the hair was reduced. There is some reduction, but no where near what I think it should be for the time involved. I found someone new, she seems very thorough, but far slower. The first women would accomplish in 45 what the new one will need about 6 hours for. At this point I am very concerned about the cost involved and how to determine what is normal/ effective and what is not.

The new practitioner is using blend mode and treating for up to 10 seconds per hair sometimes more than once if it does not feel dead. I am not sure what method the first used but she only took about a second per hair.

I did get some angry red welts this time that lasted about a week and some scabs. Is that normal/ ok?

My skin is very sensitive to both waxing and shaving so I would really like all that hair to finally be gone. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!

hummm ... I don't know what to say on this one.

With female underarms, I guarantee (yes a real guarantee) that the entire job will take no more than 8-hours (total). If it does, treatments are free. (It's all about HOURS ... not "years.")

This is MY standard ONLY, and no one else should state this ... They should, however, be able to state their own averages (for non-hormonal body hair such as underarms).

If your blend person is taking "too long" (10-seconds is fine) maybe this time the hairs will be killed ... thus making the "too long" actually quicker.
