There seem to be a lot to choose from- can anyone recommend any good ones? (or ones to avoid at all costs). I'm looking just to get my legs, and maybe bikini, done and want to find a place that's safe but inexpensive.
Also- has anyone found that moles/ freckles affect treatment in any way? I'm concerned lasers might burn them and lead to nasty complications (skin cancer?) at some point down the line- does anyone know?
Thank you!

PS- These are some of the places I've seen ads for:
LiteTouch
Laser Cosmetica
American Laser Centers
Romeo & Juliette
Smooth Touch
Berenice
any feedback to share??

I'm a Certified Laser Specialist and have been performing laser treatments for 6 years. Recently I started my own business, Strictly Laser. I also am running the laser department at Nickel, a spa for men in NYC. My prices are affordable. If you want any more info e-mail me at lasertru@hotmail.com

I'm sorry, I forgot to answer your question. I will treat areas where there are freckles, this is not a problem. I will not go over a raised mole, since the laser has the ability to remove moles, if I remove the mole, there is no way to detect for skin Cancer. If the mole is really hairy, I might treat at very low settings and let the client know that removing the hair from the mole will take a lot of treatments.
hope this helped

Anyone ever hear of Lynda Christine in NYC on the East side? She works in Body Beautiful spa. Did anyone use her for Laser hair removal?

I'm interested to hear who you end up going with. I too am looking around NYC for a place to start treatment. Thanks.

Ive heard of 2 places... Romeo& Juliette and Assara Laser! I'm debating between the two!! Prices at Assara seem a bit better than those at R&J!!! Ive been asking around about Assara and waiting to hear back if anyone has been etc!! My friend used to goto R&J but then stopped because she wasn't completly satisfied and always found herself waiting around for an hour and sometimes longer from the time of her appointment so it wound up being like almost a 2hr ordeal!!! Sorry but i have no patience for that thats why ive been so hesitant!! Anyone have any suggestions???

I've been to both. I wouldn't say that Romeo is all that bad. THey've had problems with staff (I, for one, never had the same techincian twice!), but their machines are just as good as the ones at Assara Laser (i.e., they both have the Apogee Elite, etc.) Though I've only been to Assara once, they seem to have a cheerier staff, but who knows. They both seem like pretty good choices.

I had my first treatment at Assara Laser. I would definitly say that it was a good experience. The Staff are very professional. I was kind of scared that it was gonna be extremly painful (I was gonna use emla cream but decided not to because I didnt want to wait and the technician said that i should try it out first without it and if its too painful then to put it). She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I'm definitly looking forward to my next appointment!
