I got a 30g tube of LMX-5 from Prestige and opened the instrutions..... what i found was funny and .... interesting i guess.

Did anyone know that LMX-5 is actually (and I quote) " [...]a brand mane anorectal cream that contains an anesthetic called lidocaine in a non-prescription strenght.

How to use LMX5:
Adults and children over 12 years of age: apply to the affected area up to 6 times per day.

Attach applicator to tube. Lubricate applicator well, then gently insert applicator into the rectum. Squeeze tube to deliver cream.

Do not use this product with an applicator if the introduction of the applicator causes additional pain."


ROFL (rolling on the floor laughting - for those who might not speak the abreviated lingo).............................


And yet, the LMX4% version is clearly named " Topical Anesthetic Cream"

Anyone has any comments or knowledge on the issue??

These topicals were originally developed to help children who needed intravenous needles put in. However, they are helpful for people with many other kinds of topical discomfort, such as well, um that stuff you mentioned...
