I've tried everything to get rid of the hair on my stomach. I've tried shaving which is useless , because even after shaving you cas still see the black dots , i've tried waxing ended up with very bad ingorwn hair on my stoamch.I've had six laser treatments on my stomach with a YAG laser it didn't help maybe got rid of 40% of the hair, but i still have alot on my stomach,I've been getting electrolysis done there but It turns so red and scabs form , and when they get better its time for my next appointment.SO now not only do i have hair there i have freaking bad, skin as well. I dont know what to do should i try another laser like gentlelaser would that work?? my hair is not very coarse but i do have very light skin there.

Why don't you try a couple of different electrologists to compare skin reaction. That's one of your options, but let me add this: for any body work, you SHOULD expect some short term skin reaction, like redness and scabs. Being that you have to wear clothes, this will aggravate the healing area, so you just have to suck it up and let it heal. It will heal with time, minus the hair. Goal reached.
If you have a professional electrologist working hard for you, you will get total permanent removal on your abdomen no matter what color the hair or skin, no matter how deep the hair. It may not look pretty for a bit, but it will heal. I have done and completed many, many abdomens successfully and I understand the skin reaction you are describing. I'm happy to report that in the end, all looks gorgeous and smooth. If you give your electrologist 9-12 months to clear the hair and keep it cleared thereafter, YOU WILL WIN. No more fretting about the hair.... there. No more aggravation. Period. Done. Get it cleared off asap and keep going for the next crop of hair that pops up, etc. etc. Make sure you are not being plucked. Try to wear loose fitting clothing after treatment. Apply Aloe Vera Gel. Your chances of success are great if you hold on and keep your expectations in line.

I have another question regarding the hair on my back, I dont know what to do with that should i try laser first, then go with electrolysis. or just go with electrolysis from the get go? its alot of hair, and its covering all on upper back. I need to know how laser works on the upperback of a female with somewhat coarse hair, and mediatarean skin. Plus Does this cost sound resonable i called in Robert G Greenberg, MD in San Ramon in california with a gentelase , and the upperback would be $ 600 for one treatment I think thats very expensive.

You can go either way. Get consults. Get estimates. Get advice about your particular hair problem from both sides. I'm just popping in to say that the actual proceedure called 'electrolysis' can handle your problem. It's all about looking for and paying for competence whether it be a LASER choice or an electrolysis choice. Electrolysis is harder to do than LASER and finding a electrologist with speed and skill is harder to find than a LASER practitioner.

I'm a little confused. I thought laser was the way to go when removing hair from large areas, followed by electrolysis touch up treatments. Why is electrolysis the only permanent option for your stomach?

If you had never had laser on your abdomen, here's an answer for you:
No, it won't take 9-12 months to see improvement, however, it will take 9-12 months to permanently remove all offending hair, if you STICK TO AN AMBITIOUS SCHEDULE. Not shouting here, but rather putting emphasis on the quickest way to get to your goal.
If you give your electrologist the amount of time she needs in the very beginning to get your abdomen cleared of all noticable hair, you will look competely finished very soon, maybe three or four treatments at the most. I can't see your problem, so I'm guessing here. You just need to go in for any new hairs after that and stay clear until there are no more hairs to treat.
Having had LASER, this still works the same way. Get Cleared. Stay Cleared. This is not hard area to treat with electrolysis.

Laser is great on stomach hair IMO. I am a male with dark, coarse, coarse hair and I probably have 40% reduction in my stomach, while all other regions I've used laser on have no reduction. I would imagine 40% reduction for me would equal almost full clearance for the average person. If you don't have dark hair that the laser can use to penetrate the hair follicle, then electrolysis may be a better option for you. If you want to clear the area completely you may have to use electrolysis in the long run anyway.
