thanks for the reply , but i dont have pcos, and dont wear makeup. so the hair doesnt play a role in making acne worse?its just kinda weird since my skin (chin, forhead) has been doing better, but since i stopped with remvoing hair from my side burns the acne just got really bad on this area.

Many electrolysis clients say that electrolysis actually helps their acne. I have found that to be true for some. Testosterone is the fuel that ignites acne and excess hair in hormonally sensitive women.

So, I'm not surprised by your observation.

Why did you stop electrolysis on your sideburns??

I stopped because I felt like we removed too much hair, and it didnt look natural, right now hair has grew back , not as much as before but its more natural. I was thinking about going back and removing the hair, but since it wont make my acne better i wont. i think its better to have alittle hair to cover the pimples on my sideburns, dont you think?

It's all within your desires as to what look you want.

As I said above, electrolysis has improved some clients acne by removing the hair, but who knows if you would be among the lucky ones?

Zinc doesn't have leggy, busty babes coming to the office offering free lunch office pens, writing pads, sticky notes and cash incentives for directing people to buy it, and most insurance won't pay for, or even help you buy zinc. That is one MAJOR reason doctor's don't suggest one take it. The other is that most medical programs have such a paultry course on items like zinc, that most doctors would have learned more about zinc from shows like Good Morning America than they did throughout their whole test taking medical education.

Are there any other food additives, foods, or actual supplements that cause acne? My testosterone is a bit elevated but I still never had bad acne until recently after starting to take spironolactone, YAZ bcp, and many other supplements to support my system and adrenals. ( vitamin B, fish oil and a load of others). I have also improved my diet immensly and drink lots of water. I don't eat any gluten or refined carbs except for an occassional treat with sugar like all natural ice cream or organic gluten- free cookies ( but Much much less sugar than before when I had no acne).

At first I thought it was the vaniqa b/c it started a week after I 1st applied it but the acne was in many places where I didn't apply the vaniqa (upper back and temples/ forehead). I guess it still could be the vaniqa being processed by the liver but I've been off the vaniqa for 3 weeks now and the acne still persists. Could it take longer than 3 weeks to clear out of my system? The only other thing I can think of is that I eat a lot of cheese and even though I do get fruits and veggies I noticed I don't have as many bowel movements on this gluten free diet. Could that be part of it?

It would take at least 6 weeks for something like that to totally leave your skin. Something that caused acne all by itself would take up to 3 months to right itself.
