I am back after a long time. Can somebody suggest me a good place in chicago where I can get my facial electrolysis done? I want to get my electrolysis done by a dermatologist rather than a beautician. I don't want to go to anyone who claims 100% painless and effective procedure as I know they are lying. How can I get genuine, sincere and experienced practitioner to treat my stubborn facial hair. Also, please tell me what should I ask about license of practitioner? Also, I want to get testosterone level in my blood tested and get any medication if necessary. Please help.

You won't find a dermatologist performing electrolysis. Just get that idea out of your mind right now.
The good news is you do have availability of good work done near you. You will probably want to start your search with Cassie McCabe. Putting "Chicago" in the search feature would have found this in a post string called "Chicago referrals":
The people we can say have treated HairTell posters and have had good feedback are:
Cloda (near Ashland and Wellington). Call her at 773-549-8580 and tell her Andera Sent you.
James has had treatment from, and recommends 2 people in that area so far. Just two hours by car from Chicago you have: Rhonda Elmer Electrolysis Center and Tanning 1601 Spring Square Alley Monroe WI 53566 608-325-3434 She is good, does both thermolysis, and blend, and would give you multi hour appointments if you asked nicely. Book well in advance, and you could have many long appointments in a month. Just be sure to honor the appointments you make.
In Chicago, but much harder to get time with is: Debbie Strickland Merle Norman Cosmetics 7323 N. Harlem Avenue Niles, Illinois 60714 847 600-3000 Debbiestrickland3@comcast.net She now has 3 CPE's working with her and two more taking the test October 2005 Lots of experience, and perfectly able to do long appointments if they can be fit into her VERY busy schedule.
Also in Chicago, Taught by Debbie Strickland, the newest member of The Electrolgy SuperFriends: Cassandra M. McCabe CPE Cassie Electrolysis 7107 W. Belmont Avenue Suite 6 Chicago, IL 60634 773 919-4247 Hair_begone@msn.com

Thanks James. Your suggestion was really helpful for me. I emailed Debbie and she called me back in couple of hours and guess what I got 3 hours in two consecutive day. It was my first electrolysis experience and I was very scared of pain and scaring but when she started treating I didn't even realize for few seconds that she has started the work. I didn't get a single scar. I got my neck and cheeks scanned over as I was going out for three months. So, she decided to scan the whole area once so my face is more presentable. So, she treated long and dark hair in the treatment. I felt slightly more pain hairs that i had been plucking before but overall treatment was very comfortably bearable. Now, I am away from Chicago and don't plan to see any electrologist until I get back. I took pictures of my neck before and after treatment. After picture is just one hour after the treatment. Thanks James for such a nice recommendation.

I don't know what is with the pictures, I myself can't see them. any help on how to upload them? It's been 12 days since the treatment and I expect regrowth will stand out as I have naturally black hair and currently i have bleached hair. So, what is the normal regrowth time for treated hair? Also, suggest me a good place near/around San Jose? Thanks
