I had 5 treatments on underarms, 6 on bikini, and 3 on lower legs.

It looks like the last comment by the poster was 2 months ago when she said:

"So far I'm in month three and a half. I've noticed slightly less hair on my legs and a little sparser but I still have to shave every 2-3 days as normal. Results are very noticeable in the first two sessions and then just seems to die down."

That sounds disappointing, but typical when when using a low power laser on light color hair.

Like anything else, we should remember to be on the lookout for Tria marketeers who might "review" the new product to push sales.

I hope that all who are associated with this product become very rich and that all who purchase this product become permanently hairless in all areas treated.

Can I ask people who have a Tria how often they find the fan kicking in while using it? I seem to only manage about 10-15 "zaps" before it starts running for about 15 seconds or so. I can still use it while the fan is running, but then it takes longer still for it to shut off. The instruction book does mention the fan will come on while in use, but doesn't say how often. Just wondered if this was the same experience everyone else was having. Thanks.

The fan runs a lot on mine, too.

It's been about 3 weeks since my last treatment with Tria and so far I've only got about 30% baldness on my armpits and about 50% baldness on my legs. My leg hair isn't very dark or thick, so I'm not terribly surprised. I am surprised that it isn't working better on my armpits.

My best results are on my bikini area. I got about 90% reduction where I used the highest setting. Just to see what would happen, I decided to try it on my entire crotch. The instructions tell you not to, so be careful. The closer I got to my most delicate skin, the more painful it became, so I lowered the setting. The lower setting didn't appear to do anything, so the next I think I'll try braving the highest setting.

I'd like to see reviews by some other people. *pokes* wink

Thanks for sharing your experiences!

When you say 30% and 50% baldness, is that compared to shaving? For instance, if you shaved a patch, waited a week to observe the growth, and then zapped it, you should see a noticeable reduction in the growth the following week.

During my Lightsheer days, only around 10-15% of the follicles responded to each treatment. That was with dark hair and on a higher fluence than the Tria can reach, so you might see less than 10% reduction per treatment.

And it does seem the low and medium settings on the Tria are probably too low to actually do anything. Only the highest setting even starts approaching commercial lasers.

I'm thinking of getting one this summer to help put it to the test, but I've also been holding out for the release of the P&G/Palomar home laser which is due any day now.

Initially there are small bald spots right after treating the area. It's taking about 3 weeks to see the full effect. I'm not sure if it's actually creating any permanent hair loss, though. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
