I use thermolysis to get a first full clearance, then may switch to blend when new hairs come forth, followed by thermolysis again for the few, smaller hairs at the end of the timeline. With that said, thermolysis can really do it all from begining to end if that is the modality that any one electrologist uses. For that matter, the blend can do the same thing that thermolysis can do, but takes a little longer and the sensation may be a little more uncomfortable.

So I had an 30 minute appointment yestersay to gey my usual areas, breast bone, a few left on chin and also got the hairs around my nipples done too. I was so nervous about getting it done but it was far less painful than I thought, much easier than the breast bone. It was a little red last night and today I have a few little white "pimples" around it, I had somethihng similar when I first got my chin done so not worried about it. Got the area cleared very quickly and am so glad I went for it! Am booked in in a week to see how it has gone but my electrologist reckons it'll be every 2 weeks it need.

So to anyone who is nervous and or embarrassed about asking to get their nipple hair treated, I would say it is well worth it!

It is well worth it as long as you have a skilled electrologist doing your work. Every two weeks sounds good to me as well.

What method of electrolysis are you receiving? Would you care to share where you are going so others may benefit in the future?

The temporary side effects you describe are indeed normal. White pustules can be controlled better with good antiseptic care before and after treatment and by watching the intensity and timing, but a few are acceptable and will subside rather quickly.

I would advise you to apply witch hazel on those white pimple looking things, which are normal. It helps a lot.

The reason we recommend Tea Tree Oil/Melaleuca Oil overnight is that it dissolves puss and you would not have any white bumps in the morning.

Here! Here! Tea tree oil is unbelievably effective. Get a pharmaceutical grade (written on the label) and dab a little on the treated area at bedtime. Use a cotton swab, dip once and do not use the same cotton swab again. Keep it all very clean.
