Hi, I am new to this forum and am really interested to know if you can get good results from dong electrolysis yourself. I am an Indian female and even though I do not have a hormonal imbalance or any other medical condition I naturaly have more hair than many men. I have spent thousands of dollars on laser treatments and am currently having electrolysis done on my face. Finding a way to do this at home would be very cost effective. I still have a lot of hair to remove (although much much less than before).
Can anyone tell me what is a good machine to buy?
what is the cost range for these machines?
How long does it take to learn?
I have darker skin so is doing electrolysis myself going to result in more of a risk for scarring/ hyerpigmentation/pitting?
Is it possible to do blend yourself?

This is not cost-effective and even professional electrologists don't do their own faces as it's very hard to get insertions correctly and without damage to the skin on yourself.

Well, that's reassuring. You can do some parts of your body, but other areas will not be possible because you won't be able to contort well enough to do proper insertions. That's when DIY scar themselves. It can happen on the face or body.

Electrolysis is technically very hard to do. I have said with all honesty on these open forums that I was not the most skilled electrologist at doing this in my early days, but the harder I worked the better I got. Advice that I received from professionals years ahead of me, about purchasing better tools was the real turn around for me. Electrolysis is very hard to do! Yes, a neophyte, untrained person can do this, but most get the picture real fast that it is much harder to put all the information together and then translate that into a winning performance. They ususally give up, and alas, they really saved no money at all in the end.
