It's full of good safety advice but I'm worried when it says "This technique can potentially be quite painful." What are your experiences with sugar waxing?

My experiences vary... I'm not sure if you are talking about with or without strips, but I have found neither to be that painful... the most painful would be underarms for the first time... but now that only hurts if I sugar wax the same spot over and over and the skin gets raw...

My issue with sugaring is how much time it consumes if you are picky about getting all the hairs like I am... and it seems (especially lately) that it takes a lot of times in the same spot to get the hair out, instead of one pull getting most of it... maybe I am too antsy to do it and the hairs aren't long enough, I don't know...

Are you expecting no pain at all? Then, it's not realistic. You're pulling hair out with the root. It hurts.
