I had electrolysis done on my upper lip two days ago, and now have a complete swollen upper lip with a slight numbness!!! i have gone back to the person who done this and was told that it would go done within a few days. i have also gone to my doctors, as i have electrolysis done so many times, but this time, used a different beautician!! i am so upset and terrified that my face is goin to stay like this!!! it feel and looks totally weird. can anyone please advise!!!

You will be fine. Use witch hazel 3-4X a day. Ice for about five minutes 4x a day. How long was treatment done on your lip? 15 to 20 minutes is tops if the electrologist is using older equipment. Use cold aloe vera gel, the purest you can find. Refrigerate it. Take it with you to your appointment and apply it afterwrds. Do all aftercare with clean hands!!!!!

The numbness is cause by the swelling putting pressure on the little nerves. All will subside with good aftercare and time. No more treatments until you are totally healed. You will be okay.
I'm glad that you talked to the electrologist and make sure you always communicate before any session your desires not to be swollen for days after a treatment. FEEDBACK IS IMPORTANT.
