exactly how long does it take for the skin to recover from electrolysis? I'm going in every two weeks for my stomach now, I have an hour session each time. and for the first week I have many small red dots where the hair was removed... is this normal? does anyone else experience this?

This is normal. Body areas usually take 2-3 weeks to heal if good electrolysis care is given. It can takelonger if overtreatment has occurred, but even then, the skin will heal within three months. We are destroying tissue! This how te body reacts when the skin barrier is disturbed.

Use aloe vera and small dabs of tea tree oil to help it allow. Wear loose fitting clothing right after this area is treated for a couple of days.

This area was one of the few where I got some tiny scabs after treatments, though I got less and less of them with more treatments as my skin got used to it. Tea tree oil and witch hazel help the skin heal faster. You shouldn't have redness for more than a few days. Then you may have some scabs that falls off within several days.
