This is a bit... embarrassing, but I'm looking for a reasonably-priced waxer in the Toronto area who will do full body waxing. I want to get rid of the fine hair on my arms, stomach, back, and bottom. Anyone know of any places, and what the cost would be?

I know this place in Dufferin & St. Clair area. I know that she has very good prices. The phone number is: 416)651-8588.

In my opinion, you shouldn't wax your all body. Wax the legs, bikini and buttocks and that's it. On the face you can do threading. If you have fine hairs on your arms maybe it's not worth it because they'll probably grow stronger and if you save some money later on you can do laser.

Anyway, you have the phone number, so just do what you think is best for you. Her name is Elsa and she's very good.

Good luck

Try body sugaring and it can safely and effectively be performed on all those body parts and face mentioned in earlier post. It is false information that hair that is epilated properly will come back darker and stronger. On the contrary with sugaring, if the esthetician knows what she is doing and suggests that you come in for regular visits based on your personal hair growth rates to get hair as close to or in the Anagen stage of growth ( 1/8th -1/16th of an inch ) you will see hair refinement and eventually lead to permanent results. Go to and they will help you find someone in your area to try a treatment.

How is sugaring different than waxing or tweezing? These methods contribute to making hair deeper and coarser. Leg hair naturally diminishes with age as the circulation decreases in the lower extremities. Pulling the hair out has nothing to do with finer hair or less hair.

I can understand that Terri/Sugar Guru wants to become "The James" of the Sugaring World here, but the first rule of thumb is to give good information consistently. The mechanism of increased hair thickness and even growth in areas that experience repeated ripping out of hairs, or any constant irritation of the skin is academic. Saying that hair pulling doesn't cause problems down the line may be a part of being on message in the sugar/waxing/threading industry, but it is about as true as saying that the price of gas has increased due to shortages in supply.
