This a good one. Before I became electrologist, this is the epilator that my electrologist used on me for underarm hair removal in the early '90's. Super good deal. Single needle galvanic, Blend and Thermolysis can be done on this later model Silhouet-Tone.

Can't view the pictures.
The resources listed are wonderful. Just the Bono Blend book alone is a nice get.

Anyone know how high someone should bid on this one for what it is worth,it does not come with a manual for example.Silhouet-Tone 128 (p.s. can a manual be purchased or downloaded from anywhere for info)ty For info on the apilus junior on ebay now http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180375888006&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 i offered them $1000 and i have a feeling they are looking for around $2200 from my emails with them. ""We would be happy to have $2500.00, but we are opened to a lower, but logical offer."" Thats why i say they would probably take $2200.:)
Edited by koolio7 (07/04/09 12:03 PM) Edit Reason: ask about manual

Here is a SuperInexpensive thermolysis only unit. I don't recommend home users starting with Thermolysis, but for those who are looking to buy some cheap thermo-only mail order garbage, you would be better looking to see if you can't win this for the same or less money as what you were going to pay the mail-order scammers. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260440132518

http://cgi.ebay.com/Apilus-junior-plus-electrolysis-hair-removal-machine_W0QQitemZ180379041499QQ The apilus is back up,they never sold it last time.I would guess the reserve is probably something like $1800 at least since there buy now is at $2500.And when i talked to them last time sounded like they would sell for $2200 is feeling i got. I have a st 250 being delivered for 900 with some accessories tomorrow so i should be all set, found it on kijiji in Ontario. This time they do say though on add if reserve not met they will give highest bidder a chance to negotiate a higher price so it may actuall sell,it probably is worth around $1800 if you wanted near brand new.:) But i saw a Junior plus $1300,a senior 2 $1600 and an sx-500 $1900 all on kijiji in montreal quebec that would talk down i imagine who also say near knew quality from a salon that closed down.

Hi, I'm from the UK and am looking to buy an electrolysis machine as a home user here.
The trouble is that the ones which seem to be recommended by you guys for non-pros are things like the Apilus and Silhouet-Tone machines, of which there aren't many of here.
I see a number of Sterex machines for sale in the UK, in particular the SX-B 3-in-1 Blend machine. I remember James wrote a while back that they don't have much to recommend them. Could you say why this is? And how much do you think is a good price to pay for one?
I've been looking for months now and I haven't come across anything else. The machines with knobs seem a bit daunting - something computerised I think would be much better for me.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.
P.S. Is there a way to receive emails when someone answers to this topic?
Thanks

Hi again,
I've come across this available to buy: Esthetix Blend electrolysis machine by Ellisons. It comes with 3 knobs: one for DC, one for RF and another for the timer. I've never heard of the brand so what do you guys think of it for a homer user?
Thanks.
