okey so due to money problems Ive stopped getting electrolysis done on my stomach, and have been just focusing on my face and neck. Ive noticed that all the hair has come back on this area... i started getting weekly treatments last year in september i believe. Are these new hairs that are coming up or were all the electrolysis treatments that ive been getting has been pointless??? the hairs are really long and coarse.. it looks like i've never done any electrolysis on this area.. Im really sad and dissapointed. I wonder if the same thing will happen if I stop getting treatment on my face, will all the hair comeback.?

As we have said over and over again, "The only way to know the efficacy of your hair removal treatments is to take a BEFORE picture, and then get treatment, take an AFTER picture, and THEN A YEAR LATER take another AFTER picture on the same day you had your clearance done.

You are seeing hairs that were not in phase when you had your treatment done, and or, hairs that were never treated, and or hairs that were reduced in thickness and size by previous treatments. Please review this thread for more information.

James explained this well.

I can't answer your question with honesty because I don't know what your electrologist is doing, I don't know what your hormonal environment is about. I do know that coarse hairs seen need to be punched hard, clearance needs to be achieved asap and then any new hair that surfaces needs to be treated until there is no hair to treat because you run out of active, follicles that produce thick hair. Regular appointments, accurate insertions with the proper intensity and timing over a period of 9-18 months yields results as long as the client is not tweezing on the side. Electrologists and clients are partners. When each does their job optimally well, then excellent results are achieved.

From what I remember, you never did consistent treatments on this area because you always did a lot of areas at once and never had enough money to clear all the areas each time. I think you've mentioned that you skipped up to 2 months. For electrolysis to work, consistency is very important. I would strongly advise committing only to what you can afford now and doing it all the way, i.e. weekly treatments to start to clear the area completely each time you leave, which will decrease to treatments once every 2-3 weeks and so on with time.

Lagirl I have been very consistent with my facial hair, and stomach since septmber of last year.. my face I believe is looking alot better, however since i stopped getting treatments on my stomach since 2 months ago all the hair has come back. could stomach hair be more stubborn? I was very happy with my results, ( but that was because i was going in for an hour every week), now my electrologist is on vacation, and won't do anything longer than 45 minutes, and i cant afford going to a second electrologist just for my stomach, I have stopped getting treatmebnts for 2 months.
