If anyone has had this done, can you tell me how much hair they treated? Did they go right along the buttocks? Did you have to ask for this or does a brazilian include along the buttocks? I am considering getting the brazilian laser hair removal, but not sure yet because of the embarassment factor.

You need to discuss this with your tech. Everyone has different preferences. They'll do whatever you want. Don't worry, they do this daily and have seen everything.

Don't be embarrassed. They've seen/done it all. The place I go to does the bikini area as well as the entire crotch area. That's their definiton of a brazilian. Buttocks is not included. They will ask if you want the entire area done or if you want to leave a little bit of hair there.

Is there any reason why they might say no they can't do the buttocks crack if you ask them to?

I am still trying to work out the best way to explain so that they understand that I don't want a full brazilian and still want some crotch hair to cover things. Seems like an embarassing topic. (I know this isnt supposed to be a hair styles forum)

Clinics charge differently for areas. No one will say no. They can say you have to pay more for it or you need a different type of laser if the skin is too dark there.

Mad1, just tell them you would like to leave a landing strip, they will understand that.
You can pretty much shave everything you want taken off and leave as much as you want untouched.
And ask them if their brazilian includes the back area. Mine does.

That is good to know. I guess that means they will need you to shave that entire area, which could be difficult.

I will consider getting it done, because I am thinking that it cant be much worse than getting the bikini line done by the lady who previously did me. I thought that you didn't have to take your underpants off to get just your bikini line done, but then the lady asks me to take my underpants off and put on the paper ones, so I thought fair enough and did. Then she asks me to hold the underpants open and put my legs in awkward and open positions, so there wasn't much point in even wearing the paper underpants! Then she puts the gel over the entire area. She didn't want to leave much to her imagination, and this was just for a bikini line. She could tell that I didn't like it so she said "don't worry about it I have had 4 children" (Im not sure what she was implying by this though).

It's in your best interests unless you don't mind paying for a botched job where spots are missed. These ladies see this all day long like doctors.
