Thank you, Dee. I'm afraid I don't have the patience to perform this kind of work. frown It's the morning after, and the general redness is 100% gone, with only some minor residual swelling remaining. After washing and applying witch hazel, everything is looking great. This picture was taken approximately 22 hours after treatment.

Major credit goes to my electrologist Margaret, who was willing to accommodate my request. I only wish I could have stayed longer to get my lower lip and chin cleared again, but there was another client with an appointment immediately after mine. frown

I returned for an additional hour Friday afternoon, allowing Margaret more time to eliminate that stubborn white hair (and all his tiny friends) remaining beneath my nose, as well as clearing my lower lip and the front of my chin. Earlier Friday morning I e-mailed to her the same photograph posted here, so she could see the significant reduction in surface inflammation. When viewing my lip in person Friday afternoon she was surprised how clear my skin appeared, certainly not looking like I received two hours of maintenance 30 hours earlier. I believe it was a revelation of sorts for her.

I experienced my normal temporary redness after this follow-up treatment, applying ice to both areas for thirty minutes afterward. All redness and most of the swelling was completely resolved in just a few hours. The next morning, things are clear, slightly pink (an improvement over my pale complexion) and not the least bit tender or sensitive. smile

Two treatment sessions in two consecutive days using the Laurier IBP delivered 100% improvements for me. Excluding $6.50 shipping expense and ten minutes of Margaret's time to become accustomed to inserting the new probe, using the Laurier IBP presented an additional expense of $2.67 per session. Including the shipping expense, it was $3.21 per session. For an average increase of approximately $3.00 per probe, my skin looks thousands of dollars better after 24 hours, rather than thousands of dollars worse for five to seven days. What more can I possibly say about it? wink

Well, I'm glad for you Caith. Your enthusiasm is very similar to that of my clients who have tried the Laurier needle.

My next goal is to establish the degree of regrowth. So far the only hairs that have appeared in the area are the hairs that were not treated in the first and only test session. Yesterday:

I had my second weekly session using the Laurier IBP today. Margaret spent two hours working beneath my lower lip, the front of my chin, and the sides of my chin, following the lines of the naso-labial folds. I had another appointment less than 30 minutes afterwards, and did not have any time to ice down the area. The good news is, it really didn't need the ice. The redness and swelling were so very minor they resolved in less than one hour. Two hours later, and all that remained was a slight pinkness, similar to other normal areas of my cheeks.

WOW, Caith, congratulations!

A new case.

I decided to submit to a test Laurier needle in one of the areas most prone to hyperpigmentation, fingers.
This is the before, and almost a month later. I think I can say once again,

Overcome test!

I heard from Margret today Caith, you found yourself a real gem there. Apparently she dislikes irritation and swelling just as much as you do.

You are correct Mike. She's a rare treasure of an electrologist, an absolute sweetheart, and a good friend.

I had another two hour appointment this morning. This week's task was maintenance on my upper lip because it had been two weeks since it was last treated using the IBP. I expressed my satisfaction two weeks about the lack of inflammation and swelling, but this week I'm back to praise the effectiveness of the IBP. There was substantially less regrowth of any kind present to be maintained today. This shows me the IBP performed MUCH more effectively treating follicles than did Margaret's previous probes.

Margaret mentioned she noticed the lack of regrowth when treating my lower lip and chin last week, but could not be certain and didn't say anything at the time. When seeing it again this morning, she was very pleased to observe and comment on the lack of any serious regrowth. This made us both happy, because it meant more time was available to clear further areas around and beneath my chin. smile

It's been three hours since she completed working on everything this morning, and I did not have to apply any ice whatsoever. What little redness was present was gone 30 minutes after my appointment.

Thank you! Margaret does GREAT work, and even she was mildly surprised when seeing the lack of regrowth, compared with her previous probes. I'm at the six month mark, and I asked if it could be caused by the length of time rather than switching probes. She was certain it was the probe. She and I are both VERY happy with my results.

May I ask what size, brand and type of probe was used before?

By the six month mark, with regular clearances, if could be that the time has naturally arrived where you have turned a corner. I am not taking away the fact that these are very nice probes.
