Hello everyone, I'm a 25 year old female who has started 30 minute weekly electrolysis sessions in September. The electolygist I am seeing has 20 years experience, is very knowledgable and kind. I trusted her immediately. I am posting a couple photos in concerns to my healing, although the red spots are not my biggest concern because I do have faith they are still healing- it is the indentations. I circled it in photo 1 to bring attention to it, if you zoom you can clearly see it. It resembles skin of someone who has acne scars. I am DEVASTATED they are there. What is happening? Is this normal? Should I stop immediately. I obviously am going to bring this to my electrolygist attention but having multiple opinions would truly comfort me. How disappointing would it he to trade my hair insecurity for scar insecurity! My after care is to ice the area, apply tea tree oil daily for 3 days and then coconut oil daily. I scab almost weekly, and do not pick at all. I have gotten a couple "pimple" like white heads, and a couple times have oozed clearish yellow fluid. My skin is indeed sensitive. The hairs are strong that I have, and we have been on a high setting- a hair sometimes takes 6 or 7 pulses to let go. I usually stay swollen for days, and red longer as you can see. Is this all sounding normal? I have had weeks were it healed quickly and then left minimal red spots and weeks were it stayed red and inflamed for a while. I'm just really concerned about the indentations. Is that a sign of something I am missing? What can i do to help it? Is the redness a concern as well? My last treatment was the Tuesday before Christmas. Is the red spots staying to long? Obviously they are all from different treatments. I would really appreciate any advice or input. I want to have hairless skin without deep indentations!

please review the following video series by Michael Bono in i's entirety ( all 4 parts) .

It's going to answer quite a bit of your questions regarding this. Essentially, you have almost nothing to worry about.

I dont see anything in that picture that indicates scarring will occur. Relax, and let the skin healing process take place. You will be amazed.

Thank you! I was just very spooked about all the indentations. I will just trust tje process and maybe try intermittent fasting.

What do you hope to accomplish by fasting?

You are not going to speed the healing process. This process is fixed and cannot be altered.

Let's say a woman gets pregnant but wants to deliver the baby in only 5-months. Is there anything she can do to make this happen? Will "intermittent fasting" make the process any better?

The lumps and bumps are normal ... just stop looking, and get on with the process.

By fasting your body can focus more on other cells and healing the body vs just digesting food. Its something I have been trying to do a few days a week anyway to help my body with any lose skin from my weight loss and weight loss to come. It cant hurt- that and healthy nurtition can't hurt to help the body through a healing process.

Thanks for the help! Just needed people who are experienced in this areas reassurance. I appreciate it.

I have completed several "fasts" over the years.

Still, I am certain that while various electrologists have a long list of "What do to after a treatments," I'm certain that "fasting" will never make that list.

Years ago I did a 3-week supervised fast at "Meadowlark" (physician owned and supervised health resort) and ended up with a generalized staph infection on my skin (you can look up this possibility).

"Fasting" and skin healing do not seem compatible. Again, there is nothing you can do to speed the process. But I know you are going to try! It's what people do ... just be careful

Thank you! I did see my electrolygist and she said my skin looked normal and is just healing and will get better and better with time. I appreciate all of your input. I'm looking forward to being a hairless goddess wink
