I've decided to contribute in my own way by posting Ebay listings of electrolysis machines that are known genuine - in other words, legitimate professional grade equipment.

There are many listings for One Touch devices; these work but are so numerous that listing them all is impractical and a waste of space. Of course, I'm weeding out all the tweezer, patch, and pure black magic devices.

The purpose of this thread is to encourage determined do-it-yourselfers to use good equipment, and it would be great to hear that people are using this information. So if you buy a machine using this info, it would be great to hear what you bought, how much you paid, and how the experience has been so far.

Another thermolysis only machine. Again, more dependent on operator skill, so may be less well suited for the individual.

You guys know how I feel about "Do It Yourselfing", I perfer that you at least "Do It For Eachother". I will however help out here and tell you that the unnamed electrolysis machine on the second link in the above post is real, and a great bargan for a home unit, or even a student electrologist. It is old, but still works.

I would rather someone planning to work for pay get something newer than this, but for a home user on a budget, it is fine if they really work hard to have themselves and their electrolysis buddy study and perfect their technique.

This RA Fischer is a first generation computerized epilation machine. The new stuff is better than this, but a home user with this machine would be in a great position to do good work if one learned proper settings and techniques.
