American Laser Center?

thanx!

hey, just an update…i went in for the skin test patch and the only laser they have there is the aurora ipl. I told the technician that i heard it didnt work well on my skin type and she (same skin type as me) says it’s working on her (under arms & bikini) and she just seemed way more down to earth than the lady selling me the package. I want to believe her but i’m still skeptical because of all the bad reviews ive read. i still have time to cancel my package and i think i’m going to do just that and either go to another electrolysis or a doctor that has a real laser that works on my skin type. The test patch was fine. it didnt hurt at all…just felt like nothing happened. what am i supposed to expect from the skin test patch?

You aren’t supposed to get any magic results from the skin test. It’s just to see if you will tolerate the machine…not get a rash or be too sensitive for the settings they use. In fact, will probably need at least 3-4 tx before you see significant results. I am a type 4/5 skin type, with thick black hair wherever it shouldn’t be. I’m also a physician. I had my chin and upper lip done by a dermatological physician, followed by some electroylysis. I then went to ALS for my sideburns, followed later by underarms and legs. The underarms responded beautifully within 3-4 treatments, though a few are stubborn hairs that will need electrolysis. My side burns are pretty much treated well. The front of my legs have seen significant reduction, though the back doesn’t seem as good. It takes time–2-3 years worth of treatments

Underarms and bikini have coarse hair. For your skin type, they can’t use Aurora IPL on very high settings. You CAN have these treaments, but personally I don’t see why you would go with less than optimal treatments if you have the option to get the best ones possible that will get you better results faster.
