PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

But not always… It is not easy to determine what a GOOD laser treatment is without already getting the experience. However, I know that I had a good laser (Diode) for dark pubic hair on white skin that was very resitant to 18 treatments over 2 years. Yes, there are MANY factors to consider, but it is still not a “given” that you will experience success…

That is a very good rate, tex, as you have already discovered.

Those faster rates are certainly feasible and as more electrologists catch on to what is very possible and likely with microflash/picoflash thermolysis, there will always be doubters. There will always be people saying, “I’ll take a slower method that is a surer method.” Microflash works like all the other methods under the umbrella called “electrolysis”. It offers speed and deadly energy to the hair follicle if it is performed correctly. Glad you found someone good.

I am reminded of my experience as an actor. It was not until I was working in a play with a bad script, that I fully appreciated what it takes to make a good one! It had never occured to me that when writing a play, one must write up to two hours of dialogue without repeating the same sentence, or phrases twice. This we found out when the script we were working with caused the play to jump from act one to the grand finale based on one actor giving the end of the play’s reaction to a line that appears in both the beginning and the end of the play.

In both LASER and Electrolysis, there is a large difference between bad, good and great treatments. The problem for the paying public is the fact that their experience with practitioners is almost random. While one can try to do much research, most just take the first appointment with the practiitoner actually answers the phone first, or the one who is closest to their home, or place or work, or where they are on the way back from dropping the kid’s off at soccer practice, and that accident of placement decides who is holding the treatment implement aimed at their skin.

We can only hope that the way we find out the difference between good work and bad work, and what is the average to be expected in our area is not by being the poster child for what bad work looks like.

tex, keep in mind that the diode, LightSheer right?, has more flexibility on pulse setting. It would help if you can share with us your exact settings, including pulse. One of the main reasons GentleLASE alex is usually very effective on coarse hair, especially public hair, is because the pulse is stable at the very low 3ms. LightSheer’s pulse is variable 5-100ms, and few clinics feel confident enough to go below 20ms on it. Have you tried one treatment with GentleLASE? If I were you, or anyone else in a similar situation, I would definitely stop and reassess if it seems like the treatments are not working, at the most at 4-6 treatment period. Why did you go all the way up to 18 treatments if it seemed like it wasn’t working? Also, why did you have that many treatments over the coarse of only 2 years? If you have them once every 2 months, which is the recommended time frame, you wouldn’t have been able to complete more than 11-12 treatments.
