Zeiss OPMI

Thank you for writing back. I’m like you in that my loupes are ok. But, I find them to be a pain, especially putting a prescription in. That was one of the main reasons I was looking at the stereo scopes. To compensate with a larger magnification instead of using a prescription. I’ve been looking at stereo scopes for a while. By chance when you purchased yours did you purchase it directly from the manufacturer or did you get through a reseller? If the later, who? Thank you again for responding back.

happyone where are you located? My scope is doing some travel soon asI’m looking at changing province in near future , maybe I or someone else could let you try out a microscope for a bit to see?

Hi Dedra,

Have been using surgical loupes for 3 years. I have purchased Zeiss micro scope, not using much. Would like to connect with group that uses microscopes.

Thanks

Summer

I purchased mine off aliexpress as a kit, about $700-1000. It was marketed as a trinocular microscope, and has different objectives, barlows and other bits and pieces plus a trinocular camera and mount. It’s not a bad microscope, but it generally has the same issue - using eyes through the objective, the FOV is small and moving your head a small amount causes distortion - so i’d sooner suggest loupes that at least ‘track’ your head movements.
