I am a 31 year old white male and i hate hair! Unlucky for me i have a lot of it! I have thick hair on my neck that gives me razor bumps and irritation every time I shave! I also have a hairy back, shoulders, and arms (the upper part of my back, below my hairline is coarse because of shaving it every other day also). Ive done waxing and shaving but i get tired of it and want the hair gone! My hair type is dark brown and fairly thick. I am healthy and have clear healthy skin.
I am wondering what the best treatment would be for me?? such as what type of machine etc…
How many treatments would it take to achive permanent or close to permanent results?
What would be a good expected price for a package of treatments for my entire back, shoulders, and neck…up to my hairline and under chin?
Best laser - It seems the most popular lasers here are the Candela’s GentleLase and GentleYAG. The GentleLase is for light skin and the YAG is for darker skin. Either way your hair must be darker than your skin.
of treatments - 6 to 10. Everyone seems to have a different number. but it somewhere around 8 spaced 6 to 12 weeks apart.
Price - it varies so much, have you read the FAQs posted on this site?
I usually tell people to sign up to the e-mail list of the clinic they want to go to and maybe they’ll receive a promotion. Ideal Image does this occasionally.
You should search this forum for male facial hair removal b/c there is a lot of information about it.
Go to at least 3 consultations before you choose a laser clinic.
It sounds like you’re a good candidate if you have light skin. An alex laser would be best for you, such as GentleLASE. Start doing research and going to consultations. You should check out several places before committing and I wouldn’t buy a package up front, until you have a chance to try one area and see how it goes with that specific clinic.
