after i shed..

hello,
After shedding how many weeks on average will the area be hair free? and do i have to go in for another treatment once i see new hair or can i wait and keep shaving the area until im supposed to go back for another treatment? Thank you all =]

You can keep shaving. They only need the hair below the skin, so shaving is ok (but waxing or plucking is a no-no.) You will be asked to shave before you laser treatment. If you were opt for electrolysis, then you would need some growth before treatment.

“Regrowth” will vary on location, skin type and other factors and not all of the hair may be removed by the laser; any white hairs would remain. Any hair you have after laser and in between sessions can be shaved as it comes in.

Your sessions will be spaced out over weeks as determined by your laser operator to coincide with the hair growth cycle.

Most of the treated hair should shed within 3 weeks. How long you’re hairfree after that depends on the area and how effective the treatment was. Usually it lasts about 3-4 weeks before you see new hair slowly start to come in. By 8-12 weeks from your last treatment, it’s usually time for another treatment. You can shave as much as you want. Just no removing hair with the root, i.e. no plucking, waxing, etc.

oh thank you, but why is it that most clinics want you to come back after 6 weeks and on here people say 8-10 weeks?
thankyou

because when LHR first became popular, that was the thought. it was updated since, but some never did more research to learn about the new development. also, it makes you have more treatments overall which benefits the clinic.
