Best alternative to Gentlelase?

For vaious reasons, the two clinics that use Gentelase near me are not available for a few weeks.

So for a male with light skin and dark hair, which of these would be best?
Diode, Ruby or NdYAG.

And would the fact i was previously treated by Gentlelase make any difference?

thanks

I would definately stay away from a Ruby. NDYag is not the best type for your skin. However, as with all LHR, the operator is the most important thing.

It will not make any difference that you have been treated previously with a Gentlelase

I’m thinking then, after what Pea said, you would want a diode laser like a Lightsheer, if that is available. I believe that is for skin types 2 and 3. If anyone wants to correct me, I’m all ears. I’m a “student” of lagirl’s, so hopefully she will come forth with more information.

I would go with a good diode, like LightSheer, but experience of the person treating you is important as it’s harder to operate than GentleLASE and the person needs to be very experienced. If the hair is coarse, I would rather be treated by a good Yag (large spot size) who is experienced, than someone with a diode who is not very experienced. If you give us specific options you have, we’ll be able to help you more, i.e. what specific diode or Yag they’re using, what settings they’re planning to use, how experienced they are on that machine, what type of hair you have, etc
