yeah, i also think that this is permanent…I’ve seen dermatologist and she said that too, but I don’t want collagen filler it is too temporary…I want something permanent…something so I can never be reminded of what happend to me, I want to forget electrolysis for good. And now I’m a bit disappointed becouse she said that it is on very delicate place and that laser is not an option as wll as chemical peels…and now im searching second opinion…
I’ve noticed some like that on my upper lip since doing electrolysis there.
Hi Dee and LA,
I am posting this question again may be you dont noticed my question before.
You can have a look on this pic to have some idea about the scars which are bothering me too much. The link is following
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=fbdb2r&s=6
I have circled some places on my pic where skin looks more damaging. Please have a look either these scars seem like a result of electrolysis and either these scars will heal or if there any solution to heal them and avoid them in future.?
And I have another question regarding the time of treatments.I had appointments after six weeks of treatment and get full clearance in each treatment.Previously I spent one hour now I spent 45 minutes to get clearance. The question is what you think the time spent on face is ok or more that should not be done on cheek area to avoid any skin problems.? Or What is the maximum time to spent on cheek areas during one treatment?I don’t remember either she is using galvanic or blend method.
I will be very thankful for your help.
Thanks.
Jimmy
Forgive me jimmy, but I see skin pores minus hair in those skin pores. The circled parts do not alarm me. Thanks for posting this again as I did not see your original post. Some people have orange peel type skin, meaning, they have naturally occurring large skin pores. You probably won’t agree with me, but that is what I see here.
Time spent treating an area is related to what your needs are to get a clearance each and every time for a case like yours. Skill, speed and modality choice of the electrologist that is treating you figures in as well.
I have advised people not to get electrolysis if it makes them too fretful. All in all, I am not alarmed by your picture. I hope you feel a little reassured.
Dee
I have skin very similar to yours, and I have had similar marks/bumps like yours after electrolysis. All of them healed eventually and I was not left with any scarring. The red spot in the lower right circle looks like it may have a hair, or piece of hair, stuck in it. I have had it happen, and it goes away.
Not that you need my two cents in this discussion, but I would be telling you to take Tea Tree Oil overnight, and Aloe during the day, and call me next week.
What is seen in that picture should resolve in a matter of days, weeks, or at most 3 months, with proper care.
Hi Dee,James and VickieCNY,
Thank you very much for your response.I am relaxed now before that I was very afraid about my skin.Dee you are right I have bit large open pores on my skin. And VickieCNY thanks for your comment, this red spot I got two months before and this is still not healing. This was my 3rd treatment from my previous electrologist.I dont know when this will heal.
And thanks james for your suggestion. But about the tea tree oil and aloe,I use them for one week after the treatment and my previous treatment was 4 weeks before. What you think I can use still tea tree oil and aloe.
And one common question about the treatment what you guys think if there is some need to change little settings of the treatment or this is a common problem.?
By the way thank you very much guys for your help.
Jimmy
Hi Dee,
Sorry to bother you again but what spots you see in the circled area are also open pores or some how little scars.?Because I have open pores before getting electrolysis(not on the whole cheeks and not in the circled area before) and I have not hairs on my whole cheeks some where in and around circled area on following pic.
http://i49.tinypic.com/fbdb2r.jpg
And VickieCNY how much it took with you to disappear these kind of little scars. These were looking like specified in the circled area.
Thanks for your reply in advance.
Jimmy
Jimmy, what you have are acne scars, your skin is seborrheic, you neutralize that pus sooner!. Do you want to see what they are really few scars from electrolysis very, very, very poorly executed? It is a document that may offend the sensibilities of the reader. I want to vomit!
Done 20 years ago by a student in a school of electrolysis. I wonder where was his teacher?
I do not know if my translator has translated the word pus, if not, I’ll say otherwise. Viscous liquid derived from an infection. contains bacteria, leukocytes, and seborrhea.
Hi depilacionelectr,
Thanks for your reply.I am sorry but I dont got too much from your post. What are saying is that what skin reactions I have are from the acne not from the electrolysis? And in the given pic you are describing scars from electrolysis.
Am I right?Sorry to bother it if you can explain a bit more clearly,I will be thankful.
Thanks.
Jimmy
Jimmy, yes she is giving you an example of electrolysis scars. Notice that in her photo the skin has uneven craters, whereas in your skin merely has large pores and pink spots (neither of which are technically “scars”). Your large pores will likely be permanent. I’m sure your pink spots will fade though. Those almost always do.
Jimmy,You understand in part. In effect what you see in the image is a scar caused by the indiscriminate destruction of skin tissue, as a result of malpractice.
The scars that you have are the result of tissue damage caused by pus. Your skin is a breeding ground for promoting acneic lesions. Acneic Those injuries may have been stimulated by the electrolysis treatment, but in any case, your seborrhea is responsible and not your electrologist.
To avoid scarring of lesions that are active at this time, pus neutralized with hydrogen peroxide (do not know if it will be well translated). You have to do as soon as possible so that infection does not continue destroying healthy tissue. What is called reverse acne. After what you put on has recommended James. The Tea tree oil is best to disinfect. Later, you can improve the old scars with retinoic acid at low concentrations.
Hi depilacionelectr and MagicalPrincessKitty,
Thanks for your post and clarifying me again. But depilacionelectr as I remember there was no acne before electrolysis on the circled part instead of one point(in the picture where this is red) where I got pus filled acne after electrolysis and not on other places. But still I see these points like acne scras but there was no acne before and after electrolysis. Can you say is this possible?
Thanks.
Jimmy
Bryce, I do not understand well, my translator is really bad.
I took the liberty of extending your pictures and I appreciated some scars in the area where it is clear that there has never been electrolysis. It is possible that hair removal has discovered old acne scars. I do not know how old you are, but if you look very young, you have fully developed your beard. This means that you have around 25 years old. Your acne should start at puberty, ie 10 years you’ve been suffering this injury. How can you remember them all? Give me a tip. Tell me exactly the area that has been treated with electrolysis. If as I believe, begins just below your eye, you can rest assured, your electrologist is working well. Keep in mind one thing, as you lower the area the hair is thicker, so the damage should be higher under the skin. And the move towards a clear improvement will also be longer.
I honestly do not understand that someone can work well in the sensitive area under the eyes and fail in the area where there is a much lower risk. The follicles in the area that borders the top of your beard are very deep, but your skin is highly resistant to damage required.
I think it would be desirable to place an image in which to appreciate the injury immediately after the electrolysis. I do not know what else to tell you to calm down.
I want you to see the latest sign of electrolysis in the neck of a man (10 days later). Beard is a lot like yours. You will see that the area is reddened by the transparency of the damaged tissue. You should know that our skin in the neck is twice as thin and sensitive.
Hi ivmi,
yes, it is quite obvious that lasers might not be applied near the eyes, at least at wavelengths in the visible range. Which by no means excludes laser applications on the eyes - it is even possible to perform corrections of the visum. So it is always wise to obtain several medical opinions. BTW, have you asked your dermatologist about microneedling (dermaroller in the hands of a well trained professional)?
According to what i have recently learned in my efforts relating my scars, some fractional laser treatments might improve my scars. According to the dermatologist suggesting that treatment, microneedling might also bee applicable with almost quite as good results - its medical effect is very similar to that of the fractional laser but less controllable.
For me, (DIY-) microneedling serves as a second option in case the insurence of the electrologist harming my face refuses to pay for the treatment.
Best wishes

Jimmy, it is clear that you are not Bryce. I regret the mistake.
well i found another doctor, estetic surgeon, who said that it is possible to treat them with erbium laser, ablative type…i see that everyone (with electrolysis scars) are saying that they are improveing over time, but mine are really just the same, only not hyperpigmented…in fact, every bit of a time I see some new little pits and wrinkles between pits…so maybe they are getting worse instead of getting better…that is one of many reasons why I want to do something with them as quickly as possible…i will try to find that skin needleing in my country…thank you beate…
Hi depilacionelectr,
Thanks for your very useful post.May be u r right these are old acne scars, but I am not having electrolysis on my my whole cheeks some where above where my beard is ending. To improve my beard line and some hairs here and there. But you assured me about m treatment and now I am relaxed that I am on the right way.
By the way your guess is right I am 25 years old.
Thanks.
Jimmy
In addition you might check if a fractional laser resurfacing can be applied on the eyes. Recently i saw (advertising) pictures of a non-surgical eye lift done with a fractional laser.

Hi Guys,
I need to inform you about my 6th treatment. This was 45 minutes session on my cheeks and ears. This time she treated some hairs near to my sideburns that was very painful rather than other places on my cheeks. My face was really swollen and this was very hard on the left sideburns area. She gave me some cream to apply at night.Actually this cream was for treatment of acne and pimples. She told me that this cream is very good and this fights against skin infections.
Now this area is very dry rather than any other treated areas and this time also I got acne from treatment and face is still swollen. And other thing there was thin hairs in this area and very close to each other.
If you have any suggestions why skin s this time some much dry and hard.
Thanks.
Jimmy
