i was doing some research on permanent hair removal and there is a new method that has not been mentioned in the forum, its called ‘ELOS’ its supposed to be similar to IPL and lasor except it works on all skin type and color.
The price for such treatment is relatively the same as IPL.
Has anyone ever tried this method? if so, did it work? what are the disadvantages and advantages?
is it really better than IPL and lasor?
Also, in relationsion to that - for asian (tan easily, rarely sunburn) complexion & black hair. Would this method be more effective than electrolysis, lasor and IPL?
As i want to remove my upper lip hair (its very fine and limited to a very small area of my upper lip, and barely visible but the color of the hair is black and it really bugs me, a year of monthly bleaching seem to have made it more prominent than before - i desperately need a solution - pls help!
May I say this respectfully to you? “You’re crazy if you think this will help solve your upper lip problem with fine hair”.
Why would you not think about electrolysis?? 'ELOS’technology has been discussed here many times and it doesn’t have a great track record. Have you tried searching the forums? Type in ‘ELOS’. Timewise: less than 2 years.
If you feel the need to try the sexy, trendy thing, then do so, but keep in mind that our good old steady friend electrolysis will eventually bail you out in the end. Hint. Hint.
Elos is not new. It’s been around and it’s not very effective. As Dee just said, type in “elos” in the search function and you’ll find plenty of posts about it. there was even one earlier last week.
for the type of issue you describe, laser shouldn’t even be considered. you should go straight for electrolysis. read that section of this forum for more info on it.
