I’m checking out this laser hair removal spot that has the Candela GentleLase laser and I’m not sure if this is particularly suited for my skin tone even though the company says so.
Although I love my current laser place, the one that has this Candela laser is a LOT cheaper (as in 70%)… It’s Satori in NYC.
I can get my underarms and aerolas done for the summer if so!
For skin type 4 you need either Diode or Yag. GentleLase is an Alex so it is likely to kill you from pain.

That’s what I figured, but I keep seeing “dark skin” in portions of the GentleLase descriptions on various sites (they mention that it’ll take more treatments)
They have another machine which called GentleYag which is a Yag and they also have GenlteMax which has both Alex and Yag on same machine.
GentleLASE is not appropriate for African American skin. It will burn you at effective settings. You need a Yag. Candela makes GentleYAG and GentleMax as odi mentioned which would both be suitable for you.
