Hypopigmentation from laser

Hi Hope all the members are doing good
I wanted to address a few facts about hypopigmentation after laser hair removal i feel like it is common on tan skin not specifically tan but also if you are dressed short and your legs are exposed to the sun for the most part you will likely see hypopigmentation one thing i noticed is that hypopigmentation can happen from both ND yag and alexandrite laser and IPL.If your skin has lotion it will also burn and form hypopigmentation i practiced in Australia and i had numerous Black patients one patient saw hypopigmentation on her arms after laser it took 4 months to complete go away but i found it very strange that because of lotion the laser swiped away the pigment it looked like a carbon peel how we do q switch laser and it lifts the carbon off had anyone else also experienced this? How much time it took for the hypopigmentation to settle
