Hi, my skin is fairly pale and I have fine, but visible hair starting from my chest down to a little below my belly button. (this includes my stomach as well)
some people have been recommending electrolysis because i have fine hair, but wouldn’t this take forever and be more pricey? i thought that laser was able to remove a certain amount of hair at once, whereas electrolysis gets rid of the hair one by one.
also, if i did get laser treatment, would it not work at all? also, which type of laser would be best in my case?
Finer hair makes for a poor laser hair removal candidate which is why electrolysis would be your best option.
Visit nearby electrologists to get an idea of how much hair can be removed within the time your budget allows. Let us know how your treatment progresses.
it’s not about what’s faster in your case. it’s about what will actually produce results. laser works best on coarse hair. in your case, it’s not going to work and won’t be worth the time and money on the few hairs that it might work on. I had some of this same area done a few times with laser, and had to switch to electrolysis because it wasn’t working. if you want to try it out for yourself, you’re welcome to give it a try. just trying to share experiences to help you save some time and money. if you do decide to try laser, it should be an alexandrite like GentleLASE only.
