IPL Aurora

A lot of people on this web page have said very bad things about IPL Hair removal. I work at a spa that uses it. I have seen very good results on some people. I think that every person reacts differently to different lasers. I think each person needs to find what works best for them. But I do not think that it should be a rule of thumb that IPL is ineffective. I have seen great results. For instance, my husband had one treatment on his back and had about 50% reduction. I have found that even when the aurora is set at a high setting it still has low discomfort. note I said low discomfort not no discomfort. I just thought I would let all of you know my opinion on IPL. Do with it what you like. Thanks!

Aurora is not completely ineffective. It’s effective on light skin and dark coarse hair, but the point that is made here is that it is not AS effective as an alex laser like GentleLASE is on that type of skin. i.e. you would save time and money and get results faster with an alex. Since the price is same or even more expensive at some chain clinics, it’s not usually the BEST option if the person does have options.

Also, it’s hard to judge reduction based on one treatment. You didn’t say how long it’s been since the treatment either.

Ok, well how long has it been since your husband stopped going to treatments? How much hair does your husband have if he went to an Aurora treatment and then didn’t go to another treatment until at least 15-20 weeks? Only then will you know if you are achieving permanency. You may be right, it may work on some people. I know my mom was treated with an IPL, and thought that it worked at first because the hair shed and fell out. She has all of that hair back now. As do I.
