Joules on gentlelase

Hey everyone,

I had my second treatment with the gentlelase on all of my upper body , the setting were 18mm , 16j … i must say it hurt (i have used emla) so i guess without the cream it would hurt alot… my question is , does increasing the joules affects the number of hairs that get killed per treatment or is it only on the long run that there is a diffrence ? and what is the energy which sslhr talked about which above that point you get pretty much the same results and you entering a saturation …

Those are good settings. on 18mm, under 14j can cause shedding, but not necessarily permanent damage. Using higher settings makes it more likely that the hairs will actually be killed permanently, not just damaged temporarily. The threshold can be different depending on your skin type, type of hair etc.
