I am a 21 year old male from Texas. I wanted for someone to help me answer some questions. I have been considering laser hair reduction for a couple of years, but never had the courage to do it. I have thick dark hair on my arms and hands. My goal is NOT TO BE COMPLETELY HAIRLESS but to reduce the thickness and dark hair color. Can laser help do this? How many treatments are required to achieve my expected goal? HAS ANYONE TREATED THEIR ARMS AND HANDS?? CAN YOU SHARE YOUR RESULTS? Thanks to everyone.
If you’ve got dark hair and light skin, laser should work well on your hands and arms. I’ve not had it done on my arms and hands but have had it elsewhere with good results, especially for the reduction. If you are looking for a reduction, you might get by with four treatments. Of course, that depends on how well you are responding and how much reduction you want.
upper arms are hard to treat. lower arms and hands are fine if you have light skin and dark hair. you would need 2-3 treatments to get a reduction and you need someone very experienced who will not miss areas and make it patchy. laser won’t make the hair lighter, it will make it less dense and possibly finer. btw, you’re still young and will be developing more hair still in the next few years.

Thanks for your replies. LaGirl u are saying that if I were to get laser on my arms and hands I would be throwing hundreds of dollars to the trash. I know I have to get some treatments later on too but can my results last at least a year or two or Im I gonna spend money on something that is not gonna work. I am young but Im just saying that if my results will last at least a year or so???
you’ll get results, you’ll just need touchups once in a while, which is usually fine with most.
