Hi!
I recently started my laser hair removal journey, but I have some questions related to it.
I have really pale skin (probably palest possible) and dark hair on my back (most of them at lower vpback, and weaker ones but still visible in the middle and on upper back) which grew due to my PCOS. I’m treating PCOS with medication so no more hair should grow but I need to get rid of black hair which stayed on my skin.
Laser that is used by my technician is Thunder Quanta (alexandrite + yag) but I’m worried about paradaxical hypertrichosis. I was thinking about it because in the middle part of my back I have mix of different kinds of dark hair - from coarse ones to vellus hair and it’s not possible to avoid small hair and target bigger ones. My question is if laser stimulated vellus hair and they grow darker and coarser shouldn’t then laser be able to get rid of them later as they are more pigmented and thicker?
I have some parts of my back where I didn’t feel pain from lasering hair, and parts where I felt some mild pain. I assume that some hair were too light to burn and they shouln’t grow worse, as laser didn’t “see” them?
