new hair growing

I am 21 years old women and i am asian. ヽ(*・ω・)ﾉ

please understand that english is not my native language.

so my english is not good (´o｀)

i did laser hair removal underarm at the laser center. (underarm 3 times)

before they started the laser, they shaved my underarm hair.
but it made my hair becoming thicker.٩(ఠ益ఠ)۶

they shaved off my hair over area.

even they shaved off the downy hair that we can’t see.

the truncated hair was not recognized by the laser (because downy hair is too thin) 3 times.
and downy hair changed in to thick hair

and as a result the area where my hair grew is widened(new hair growing).٩(ఠ益ఠ)۶

i am so upset. (╥ω╥ )

my hair is becoming thicker because of their over shave before they start laser hair removal treatment.ヽ( `д´*)ノ

do i need to change treat electrolysis? ( ╥ω╥ )

Well a bit of good news/bad news.

I can definitively state beyon doubt, that shaving absolutely did not cause this. All shaving does is cut the hair at the surface, it does not affect its growth at all.It does notmake the hair courser, that is an old wives tale.
You are right on the money however as to this being related to yu vellus ( downy) hair yes it is related. IT sounds very much like you have experienced paradoxal laser hair stimulation. Sometimes when vellus hair is treated it does not contain any pigment but the dermal papillae is partially damaged. Your body rebuilds it with more blood capillaries and a better blood supply and presto, deeper, darker courser hair.
Solution is 2 fold, first DO NOT do any more laser. The hair can be removed with electrolysis safely with out stimulating the hair further.
