This is a picture of me 4 months post 15th laser treatment.I have had a total of 20 treatments on some other areas, back shoulders, neck, upperarms. I have made hardly any progress over the past 5 years, still look like a monster. Sonamedspa in Chesterfield, misourri went to the local radio station and gauranteed the whole world that they would get rid of everyhair on anybody forever.I would have been happy getting 90% reduction but after all the treatments i have done I have 0% reduction in most area’s.My back has a little reduction but still looks like a nightmare.Even when I paid them $5400 and told the sona manager the last two places I went to laser did not work he said" we here at sona are the hair removal experts,we gaurantee 100% removal forever gauranteed,so I said ok,I hope your right cause this is the last of my life saving but im sure if your gonna gaurantee it to the world you guys must be the best. They also advertised these lies on the internet and local newspaper. Now I know sona management likes to read this great site so im leaving my email address for them to contact me to explain why they did this and refund all my money back. [email protected] Im hoping they contact me soon before I post all my other pics and the rest of the story to everybody else on the net
from that picture, it seems that your hair is pretty light. it might not have enough pigment for laser…did you experience shedding every time (not burning off the hair during treatment, but actual shedding 2-3 weeks post where hair was falling out)…I don’t recall? And, I would have to agree. You are no beast, seems completely normal to me.
If you’re a monster…I’m bigfoot <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> Hope you get your $.

here is a picture of my arms, 15 treatments at sona. They
wont let me come in for treatments till 4-5 months after
last treatment. I have full regrowth during week 8-9 every
time.I told the nurses we should get on a 10 week schedule
but they said the thugs at sona headquarters wont allow
anybody to get the proper treatment so they can make
peoples lives more miserable and that way they can keep
on charging them money. In three years i have been there
I have seen 4 managers and 100 new nurses every year.
Just trying to spread the word how they treat everybody.
My wholebody looks like my arms even after 20 treatments
in some areas,I would not recommend sona to nobody, might
as well throw your money in the toilet
that’s part of the problem with a chain like this. some locations just don’t care about their business enough, since the corporate office advertises and they get new clientele through that anyways. There is a person who posted about his experience with Sona somewhere in TN I think, who actually discussed time intervals etc and they were willing to go on an 8 week schedule as recommended at that particular place for him.
" went in for my treatment and consult on the 14th of feb @ sona medspa in nashville, tn.
i had a long talk with the assistant manager. she was very nice and helpful. she did try to dance around with me a bit on various topics. and come to think of it she really contradicted herself alot. though by the end it was clear that its a risk, whether good or bad and ill just have to see. she was very eager to please me and reassured me alot. when i asked her about lhr inducing hair growth, she said she had read about it and knew of cases. i asked if it was limited to face and back that she knew of and she said that it was not, that it can happen anywhere. she said it had to do with blood flow and if the laser hits a spot for too long it can stimulate blood flow in areas it would otherwise not be flowing, which can induce hair growth. she also told me that sona has been offering a change in schedules, that theyve found in some cases it is best to treat areas earlier, for the hair is weaker in the early anagen stage. so theyll treat every 8wks instead of making you wait longer. she said everyone is different and that if im seeing enough hair returning to justify treatment, i should get on an earlier schedule.and shes working on getting my charts from previous treatments @ the sona in st. louis, in hopes that it will help my case. im just glad that she seems really willing to work with me, so that i can get the best results possible. the laser used is an alexandrite apogee 6200 made by cynosure. settings used on first treatment 19/20 for happy trail and feet, then 19/40 for full bikini. she said that w/ every treatment they turn up the energy. im not sure what the settings were at this time around with happy trail and full bikini though ill post them next time i talk w/ my consultant. i definitely felt increased power in the bikini area (it hurt bad), though not much on the trail (bearly felt it at all). i may ask that they not turn up the joules on the bikini anymore but to turn it up for the trail. im considering putting off or ending my feet treatments, they seem to be at a somewhat satisfactory pt. and i want to see if the hair will become coarser or darker w/ time or if hair growth has been induced. plus my consultant said since ive sunk so much moola into this w/ sona i can use prepayed treatments as i choose, if i find i dont need them for the original site. ill keep posting, as i can.
good luck to everyone, unwanted hair can be such a burden."

Wow, I’m really sorry you have had such a bad experience at Sona MedSpa. I’m not a laser practitioner but I have some knowledge of the subject. I looked at purchasing a Sona Med Spa in Salt Lake City and during my investigative work toward that discovered some discouraging issues with the Sona system. First and foremost, laser hair removal really should be performed by a specialist in that field. Sona is a real nice place, but it is spa type atmosphere that offers multiple non-surgical cosmetic procedures. This means to me that they that they may not be specialized enough in any one area. I’m not sure it is always true, but I’ve been told that some Sona locations don’t even have their own lasers, but rent their laser service provider and equipment from an outside source. I think I’d prefer to go to someone that specializes exclusively in laser hair removal and utilizes multiple lasers in their clinics. I’m guessing that you know that various skin and hair types require different laser equipment that is purposed for the individual skin and hair characteristics. Needless to say, I passed on the purchase of a Sona Medspa franchise. In my research I have noted a national company called Ideal Image Laser Hair Removal | Specialists. They are the only national company I could find that purely focus on laser hair removal and they have an in house laser training facility with real medical staff performing their laser hair removal procedures. I hope you find a satisfactory resolution to your body hair issues.
