on the 2 palomars, neither. Smart to ask, you dodged a bullet. and btw, there are some great groupons for LHR out there, but most are not so great. once you find one with the right laser, then look up reviews for the places you’re considering.

(re: the right laser, very generally, alexandrite for lighter skins, diode sometimes okay, nd:yag for darker and medium olive skin, and never IPL)
You live in a good area to find good groupons for lhr, Keep checking until you find the best one, the one above may be it, but check alll your options.

From what i understand, and i’m not a tech and i don’t know as much as LA does, but i’ve always understood Indian skin even when on the fairer side would go with an nd:yag laser, and you’re 3/4 so i’m betting yag. Which means the 2nd place you listed, the one with good reviews, is also not the place to choose. I’ll wait for LA to chime in, b/c she knows more than I do about lasers on Indian skin.
But most good laser places have both Alex and Yag machines, so if i were you, i would read through the article about how to choose a groupon, find a good place that has both machines and just as importantly!, good laser techs.
You should locate 3-4 places, preferably if they have both alex and yag lasers. Then they can test to see if you can handle good settings on the more powerful alex. If you can’t, then they have the option of using the yag on you.
Look into this one. usually i’m wearing of a place with low prices but most of the other LA deals don’t seen to have Yags.
They have a great laser that has a yag (as well as an alex but they’ll prolly use the yag), anyway, worth checking out.

I bought the 2nd groupon you mentioned… and the booked the appointment for tomorrow…
I called them today to confirm if I have to shave my arm pits before i go there, n they said yes…

Now’s a good time to read the FAQ page link that’s on LAgirl’s siggy, def a person should know different things before they go in, it just helps to know a bit about LHR. Trust me.
after each session it’ll fall out within 3 weeks. if it doesn’t, just make sure to tell your aesthetician. Enjoy your LHR, : ). (definite read those faq).
