Silloute tone 128

Just got a silhouette tone 128 for $200 at an estate sale! But I can find next to nothing on how to operate it or whats supposed to come with it is this device still good for 2026? Thanks!

I believe you may be able to find the manual here. Documentation – Silhouet-Tone USA . If not you may have to call Silouet-tone directly.

I dont know your prior experience with electrolysis, so to make it clear: This is a machine made for professionals, so you should take some classes or at least read some books about how electrolysis epilation works. “The Blend Method” by Micheal Bono (RIP) is a pretty good start, along with the entirety of the Electrology Now youtube channel. Other youtube channels like Josefa M. REINA also have useful information (The bubble test & The egg white test seem relevant for your new machine). If you look at the most recently updated thread on the home page you can see the consequences of mistreating skin. Be careful, and search stuff on this forum! There are TONS of helpful decade old threads.

You can figure out whats missing by inventorying your current parts. At minimum you will need a foot pedal, a probeholder wire and if you are doing DIY a anode cable for doing blend.
I saw ne of these things for $20 recently in a habitat fr humanity store. But test it first. So a bubble test aas suggested, try some thermolysis on some egg white or a piece of meat. But yes there’s a very good chance it works just fine. There’s just a good chance it’s broken. So test it.

It has three inserts in the front I believe its for a black and red anode along with the pen plug in Im missing both the probes but when I bought it I grabbed what I think is the pen however the top just has a metal screw in area did i grab the wrong thing? https://www.texaselectrolysissupply.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=877&zenid=t49k2oa9f7qjbvv20unpdq84q3 (looks closest to this)

Actual Pictures please! some probes have screw on protective caps, and obviously there is a spot for a tightening ring to clamp down on the disposable needles- it’s possible that you’re missing that ring.
