i have a combination of thin dark hairs and thin peach colored hairs on my bottom. if i have lhr done on this area, is it possible for the peach colored hairs to grow in darker, or for the hairs to grow in more noticeably throughout the process? obviously, id rather not shave my bottom (being a girl)
im in the middle of having my legs done, but the texture of my hair is so different in that area (as is the skin i think?) that i don’t think it compares at all
oh, one more question. is shaving the area absolutely necessary before treatment? i feel like shaving will help kickstart the regrowth of obvious darker hairs (whether or not it’s just an illusion lol)
oh- and my technician doesnt use any kind of gel before treatments- is that bad?

If your hair is dark and thin, laser will probably not affect it anyway. So you should be going for electrolysis from the start

Shaving doesn’t do anything to the hair and yes you have to shave because laser needs to target the root and not the hair above the skin’s surface. It’s an illusion because the hair is thicker midway through where you cut it compared to the ends.

We haven’t seen hair stimulated by laser on this specific area, but it’s a possibility. Like I said, for your situation you probably shouldn’t be wasting money on laser to begin with because it will most likely not be effective on either dark or light hair because it’s fine.

Gels are only used with certain types of machines.
