Treatment options

Little background info, about 2-3 years ago I had 10+ treatments done on my back/shoulders with a gentleLASE system and despite the name it hurt like hell. While my hair was reduced it is still very visible due to the fact I am very light skinned and the hair is black. I stopped the treatments because the clinic only allowed me to use topical cream on my sides over fear of me over dosing on it and I came to the conclusion it was not worth the pain. Now I am considering going back and I have been referred to a place that uses the Aesthera PPX system and after reading up it doesn’t sound like this is the best option. I will say my back/shoulder hair while being very uniform is maybe slightly thicker than fuzz but again very noticeable due to dark contrast against my light skin. Is the “pain free” ppx a good choice or should I go with a traditional system and just suck it up or possibly knock myself out to avoid the pain? btw from what I recall my last treatments with gentallase were 30j/15mm sized.

GentleLASE is the best system on the market for light skin. If that doesn’t work, nothing else will. Aesthera PPX is mostly a gimmick as you probably read from previous posts here. I wouldn’t waste my money there.

Most importantly what you need to consider if whether you hair is coarse enough for laser. It doesn’t sound like it, which means electrolysis is your only permanent option at this point. Laser really only works best on coarse hair.
