i’ve been going to an electrologist once a week now, and it’s great… however, every time i go, i ALWAYS break out a LOT. especially under my lip. it looks awful, and i was wondering if anyone knew any ways to prevent it. the electrologist DOES do aftercare treatment… she also uses a machine to close the pores. however, i still breakout. does this happen to anyone else? help! thank you!
Do you go in with clean skin,no makeup included, and does she use an antiseptic before treatment? Do you keep your hands off the area and avoid letting cell phones and such things touch the area? Maybe it is caused by the intensity and timing of current being too strong or shallow insertions? Newer computerized epilators coupled with skill and good vision equipment can be very helpful and kind on the skin. If you have oily skin, that can contribute to a problem.
A dab of tree tea oil at night can be useful after you wash the area gently with a mild soap.

you also should be doing your own aftercare for a week after the treatment. that includes applying witch hazel (get it at any drugstore) daily and not washing your face with harsh facewashes etc.
