Are the rules for electrolysis the same as lhr? I’m not looking to worship the sun, just wonder if you can safely spend time doing outdoor activities wearing SPF 30 but no hat.
It is best to avoid the sun for 24 hours after electrolysis treatment, to avoid things like temporary pigmentation, but after that, normal sun safety is enough for most people who have electrolysis done.
And you can be tan before going?
No Tanning 72 hours prior to electrolysis (or LASER) as it will dehydrate your skin and make it more likely that pigmentation will occur.
fyi, the REASON you can’t take during laser treatments is different. you can’t tan throughout laser treatments as you want the skin to be as white as possible. laser is attracted to dark pigment, and you want it to be hair, not your skin.
with electrolysis, you are just trying to keep your skin hydrated and avoid pigmentation issues, so you shouldn’t tan 3 days before and after electrolysis.
