i found some more info about the electrolysis they use at the place where im going for my consultation, they mention diathermy, galvanic and the blend method electrolysis which is the best method would you suggest?
what questions should i ask?
my back is about 35% dark fine hair. is it best since they hair has just come in from the waxing in the last 3-4 weeks to get all the hair cleared in the next week or so?

by the way i’m finishing my IPL treatments on the small section between my shoulder blades and neck, just because i’ve already paid for them, but the hair is more course and dark in this area than the rest, so even with some reduction i will still need electrolysis cause my hair is fine, am i ok to go for electrolysis on the areas i’m not having laser?
i havent waxed this area so they hair is just growing from my last treatment.

Where are you located?
Diathemy is Thermolysis. All three of the above modalities work, but thermolysis, specifically, MicroFlash and PicoFlash are much quicker and yes, they are deadly to the hair follicle.
If there is noone who uses a computerized epilator that can offer you the more advanced forms of electrolysis then you will have to settle for what is available in your area or persuade your practitioner to bring it on up to a more advanced level. That means spending money, so chances are not great that you will be a successful persuader.
Your profile doesn’t say where you live, so now I am assuming by the terms you used, it is not in the United States.

no i live in the UK, but with there website they its advanced electrolysis so i’m guessing it will be up to date. its an actual hair removal centre aswell that just does hair removal, eg IPL hair removal, electrolysis and alkaline wash.

An epilator is the machine used to perform electrololysis. The newer ones are computerized. Ask them for the name of the machine they us and how experienced the electrologist there is.
If you got waxed 3-4 weeks ago, right now it the best time to get that hair treated with electrolysis. The goal with electrolysis is always to treat hair in the first growth phase when it’s weak, i.e. when it first comes out which is now for you.
so if i can get all this hairs zapped nearly all of them will be destroyed for good and then just to keep on top of the others?

i went to my consultation and it went well, but cause they do all the forms of hair removal there they mentioned they had recently upgraded there laser system and said they have a new advanced hair piece for it and rekoned they could easily treat my hair type and normally at the other place i paid £150 a session, but hear they offered me £69 per session and said i would need maybe 6-8 sessions, and with the advanced piece they can go nearly twice the power of the machine i had used before. so i decided to have a patch test to see how it would go.

The only thing that concerns me for this area is the gamble you are taking for laser-induced hair stimulation for the upper part of the back and shoulders.
they use a Lynton Lasers i think it’s called, they said its only 3 months old the laser and the guy seemed to know alot about it and about how high the settings could go.
i think it’s called LUMINA Q.
and what do you mean by that? like the fine hairs becoming darker and more coarse?

i reckon my electrologist could clear the whole area of my back hair that is fine and dark in about an hour and a half.
my question is, how long would it take to remove it for good? and how often will i need to go to the clinic, like every week or every month etc?
i know i ask alot of questions and thank you for your help. i just dont want to jump into something like i did with IPL.

Time to completion cannot be accomplished in less than 9 months. You can be finished in 9-12 months IIIIIFFFFF you get a first full clearance, up front, ASAP!!, and then keep an aggressive schedule to zap any NEW hairs that come to the skin’s surface after that clearance. The electrologist must work hard, meaning, speedily and accurately, with stamina, and you must show up and be on the table for the amount of time it takes to clear an area and keep that area clear. Is that clear??
If an electrologist does not know this concept, or does not present this concept to you, then there is no excuse for you not telling her what you want because now you know it.
The beginning journey is hard because hair comes up to the surface of the skin in waves and waves and waves and waves and waves and waves and waves over a course of 9 months. Good news: Each wave gets less and less. You have to be patient, but your patience is only required for a year to a year and a half. For those of you that have back hair that looks like fuzzy, black carpet, you will need more time, as your first clearance won’t come as easy as this young man who is just starting his hair growth patterns.
Hair removal via electrolysis is not like buying a car, a shirt or a tablecloth. These items have no variables involved with time or cost - they are what the are. Choose the car, pay, done with, simple, cut and dry. Not so with permanent hair removal. We can only speak in generalities. Permanent hair removal cannot be assigned an accurate cost amount or time amount because there are a lot of hurdles to jump and every hairy client has a different set of issues. Couple that information with the fact that every electrologist has his/her own style and speed, not to mention, equipment choices. We are not clones of all the excellent electrologists who deliver results in a decent time frame, though that would be awesome for the consumer if we were.
Time and cost questions are the most difficult questions to answer, but right next to them is hair growths cycles. ugh. Understanding both of these concepts well will get you hair free and smooth. Expectations need to be realistic, but the great news is, electrolysis works on any hair structure, any hair color, on any color of skin 100% of the time when it is performed correctly and professionally.
Long answer as usual to a short question, but these issues can’t be emphasized enough.

i’m sick of being told by some clinic that laser can get the areas, but since i can see its not and that i havent got that much hair, and they say it takes about a year to be hair free with laser why wait that long when i know electroloysis could be more effective with my finer hair. im going to get in contact with the clinic and get an appointment to get this cleared at the end of this week, they said i will be here for at least a year and to get permentant removal that doesnt bother me, plus with electroloysis the hair is removed from the follicle there and then so i dont have to sit around for 3 weeks to see if it has work, and then when a new 1 comes in i can get it!!

they use the blend technique so i guess this will be pretty quick to help get a clearance.
