Hi, If possible I’d like to know from preferably impartial sources, what are the damages to your skin from electrolysis???
…if there are any. I dont mean silly little scars that last for a few weeks which I’m sure we are all more than willing to put up with…I mean long-term damage in terms of collagen etc.
Also…what can you do to prevent these long-term risks??? After electrolysis care etc…
I am early 20s and look about 18 and would like to retain my youthful appearance…Im not sure I want to trade in youth for hair-free-ness especially as my hair isnt that bad.
The key is finding the best available practitioner and doing the best pre and post treatment care you can. If those things are done, you will have no lasting after effects to electrolysis other than loss of hair. I have had clients do upper lip work on lunch break and go back to work.
My pet peeve is using terms like scars to describe electrolysis. So let me expand once again.
Scars is not an accurate term as a scar doesn’t resolve in a few weeks. Temporary skin manifestations caused by the body’s inflammation process (redness, swelling, red dots, tiny scabs) is what can happen to some people after those first electrolysis sessions. Nothing to worry about. Words have meaning and SCAR is not associated with good electrolysis work for the short term or the long term.

Hert, you are AWESOME! I had forgot about this piece of information from TSroadmap. Thanks for the contribution. It takes a village to answer questions well on hairtell.
