Ear hair removal:

Any man had success with electroclysis on their ears? I talked to an electrologist who said that she is not allowed to work near the ear hole due to dangers. I forgot to ask her if she can do the war lobes and sides. Any ideas? If electrolsysis is permanent, why do so many men waste so much money on ear and nose hair removal products? Is it really permament? How many treatments and over what time frame does it take to remove ear hair? Eyebrow hair?

Lobes and sides of ears are quite easily treated with electrolysis. As with the nose, the earhole should not be treated due to risk of infection that could get in the ear.

As Andrea stated, the problem is the possibility of infection. Although keeping the area infection free could be done by a deligent client, most practitioners don’t trust their clients to do what they are told about pre-treatment, and post treatment after-care. Can you guess why they don’t trust them?

The problem here is that the typical “talk to the hand” that we get when giving after care advise to our clients, could end in death for those who choose ignorance over our good advise here. The infection that one would get from not keeping the area well cared for would lead to dire illness, and possible death. In the end, who would get blamed? You guessed it.

Many electrologists will treat around that area, but how far they will go all depends on their belief in your commitment to following instructions. So if you are the guy who walks in the electrologists door, sipping coffee, fresh from his 3x’s a week tanning booth appointment and grime on the face from working in the salt mines without a shower, no one will ever do this for you.

Ear hair is a royal PITA to trim baecuse it is hard to see the entire area near the ear canal. I could see where ear wax would be a problem and possibly cause infection too.

The advice here is the same for both ears and nose.
