electro in nyc?

hi everyone! i wanted to know if anyone could give me a suggestion for a TG friendly electrologist in NYC. i’ve got a full beard (not very thick-only need to shave about every 4 days before i get a 5 o’clock shadow) that i need to have removed ASAP. although i’d like someone inexpensive, i’d prefer to pay a little more to get a good quality, and fast removal. i have nice skin, and i’d honestly like to keep it that way…or if anyone can give suggestions on laser/electro cocktails??

skin is light olive (1/2 italian - 1/2 german) and my beard hair is not very coarse, but it is a bit full. Haircolor is mostly patchy blonde and light brown in the face - but there are some dark patches.

Also, should an electro be able to give me an approximate amount of time for removal? are there any questions that are taboo for me to ask/or vice versa??

Hi Jayney:

I am not familiar with electrologists in NYC, but will give my opinion on your other question.

I think you are best to go with electrolysis on a regular schedule. I am not sure what your timeframe is to get rid of the beard, and if you are going full time anytime in the near future or not?

Most electrologists are open to trans clients, and anyone who has been around a while has probably dealt with some.

The average beard takes about 200 hours to get rid of.

I did laser followed by electrolysis and got down to maintenance/cleanup of stray hairs after about 125 hours.
The sooner you get to a full clearance in one session and can
maintain that clearance the sooner you will be finished.

you can run a search here. NYC electrologists have been discussed a lot. the fastest way to remove the hair is by starting out aggressively to get to a first clearance and then coming in to get the new hairs that pop up. It will take at least a year after your first clearance if you’re on schedule all the time.
